This full-day excursion to Toledo from Madrid is a convenient way to explore one of Spain’s most important cities of historical significance without having to worry about transport or admission tickets. Once there, you’ll explore the historic centre on foot, where centuries of coexistence between Christian, Jewish and Muslim cultures have shaped a unique heritage. You’ll visit the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes, commissioned by Isabella of Castile, and the Synagogue of Santa María la Blanca, one of the finest examples of Toledo’s Mudejar art.

The tour continues at the Church of Santo Tomé, where you’ll be able to admire *The Burial of the Count of Orgaz*, one of El Greco’s masterpieces, before entering Toledo Cathedral, considered one of Spain’s great Gothic cathedrals and famous for its stained-glass windows, chapels and works of art.

If you choose the option including lunch, you’ll enjoy a tasting menu of tapas featuring specialities such as carcamusas, Spanish omelette, scrambled eggs with ham and Manchego asadillo. If you’d prefer to organise your own lunch, you’ll have some free time before returning to Madrid by coach.

One of the most interesting and fun experiences I have had in Toledo. I learned a lot during the trip and I will take with me several anecdotes to tell about this great trip. Highly recommended.

One of the longest and most complete excursions I have ever done. In spite of ending the day very exhausted, I have to admit that it was worth it. I take with me a beautiful memory of that day.
