Step by Step

This approximately 9-hour excursion from Kraków will take you to Zakopane, a town in southern Poland known for its traditional architecture, mountain atmosphere and proximity to the Tatra Mountains. You’ll share the transport with other travellers and get to see some of the region’s most iconic sights without having to worry about organising your own transport.

During the tour, you’ll visit Chochołów, a village famous for its traditional wooden houses. Its buildings retain the region’s characteristic architectural style and offer a glimpse into the local culture.

Once in Zakopane, you’ll be able to stroll along Krupówki, its main shopping street. Here you’ll find shops, restaurants and stalls where you can discover some of the area’s typical produce. You’ll also have the chance to sample the region’s traditional cheese, which is included in the excursion.

Another highlight will be the funicular ride up Mount Gubałówka. From the summit, you’ll be able to enjoy a panoramic view of Zakopane and the Tatra Mountains, as well as take the opportunity to snap some photos of the scenery.

The excursion is carried out in shared transport with a driver. When booking, you can choose between being picked up from your hotel or from a designated meeting point in Kraków. In both cases, you’ll enjoy the same tour of the Zakopane region.

Please bear in mind that temperatures in Zakopane are usually lower than in Kraków. We recommend wearing warm clothing suitable for the time of year and comfortable footwear to make the most of the tour.
