Step by Step
The Bordeaux CityPASS® is the ideal pass for exploring Bordeaux in depth and detail, taking in its most iconic sights and monuments across four available options: 24, 48, 72 or 96 hours.
You’ll have the chance to explore the city’s iconic attractions, ranging from museums and exhibitions to bridges, castles, churches and squares.
When you purchase the Bordeaux CityPASS® tourist pass, you’ll enjoy unlimited access to these attractions using public transport, which includes trams, buses, car parks and river transport via the Bat3 boat service, allowing you to enjoy beautiful panoramic views of Bordeaux from the River Garonne.
Among the city’s must-see attractions are:
- Cité du Vin: the Cité du Vin is, more than just a museum dedicated to wine, a symbol of the city thanks to its imposing architecture. It offers exhibitions on the history of wine and an extensive tasting area
- Porte Cailhau: this ancient gateway, which once served as the entrance to the city, offers an incredible view of the Garonne and the historic city centre from its summit, some 23 metres above ground level
- Bassins de Lumières: you’ll visit this digital art centre, which hosts two exhibitions all year round – one dedicated to Salvador Dalí and the other in honour of Antoni Gaudí
- Sauve-Majeure Abbey: you’ll be amazed by the 12th-century Romanesque architecture of this historic abbey, which forms part of the Way of St James in France
- Museum of Fine Arts: take a journey through art history, from the 16th to the 20th century, admiring works by artists such as Picasso, Matisse and Renoir
- Rohan Palace: one of Bordeaux’s most beautiful and legendary buildings, it has been the town hall since 1837.
From the guided tours included in the pass, you can choose one of four options: an electric train ride, a walking tour, a tour on an open-top bus, or a commentary-led cruise on the River Garonne.
