Great trip . Small group of 7 (plus guide and driver in an 9 seater minivan.Valparaiso is an interesting place and in the ~ 3hrs we were here we saw some of the highlights (including a trip up one funicalar and down another). Emiliana winery (a bio dynamic winery) is a very interesting and high quality winery (and only 2 minutes off the main freeway) so this is a great stop

It was a bit rushed. Both places deserve a day each. Javera had to control the schedule while remaining courteous. Not easy.

Very good tour. Easy communication via e-mail with the tour guide who spoke perfect English. The vineyard tour was informative on organic grape growing and wine production. Wine tasting paired with chocolate or cheese is included. Wineshop prices are quite reasonable. Once in Valparaiso we took a local street car to the port. Then started the walking tour. Unfortunately the funicular to take us to the first Cerro was out of service which required us to climb a series of steps I am guessing 60-80, There are a couple of other staircases to climb, but they more reasonable 10-20 stairs. Although the tour guides insisted there was no hurry to complete the climb, the stairs did take a toll on a couple of tour members. The walk around the cerro 's was very interesting- incredible street art. The funicular going down was in service, so no issues there. They took us to a nice restaurant with a view for lunch about 3pm, so be sure to eat a good breakfast before the and/tour or bring some snacks along.
