Palais des Papes and Pont d'Avignon Tickets

Discover French history twice over with this combined ticket to two of Avignon’s most iconic monuments: the Papal Palace and the Saint-Bénézet Bridge.

The tour allows you to explore around 25 areas open to the public, as well as the papal gardens, designed as a place of rest adjacent to the pontiff’s private quarters. From May 2026, the Palace will also feature a revamped visitor route, new interpretative resources and rooms that were previously closed to the public.

Please note that when making your booking, you must specify a time slot to determine your entry time to the Palace.

• Papal Palace: The largest Gothic building in the world, comprising the Vieux Palais and the Palais Neuf, which houses incredible frescoes in its chapels and majestic rooms such as the cloister, the Hall of the Stag and the Great Chapel.
• Frescoes and gardens: The chapels of Saint-Martial and Saint-Jean will amaze you with their frescoes by great artists. What’s more, if you fancy it, you can stroll through the gardens surrounding the palace (if you select that option).
• Saint-Bénézet Bridge: Also known as the Avignon Bridge, it retains four arches and a small chapel after being abandoned in the 17th century due to damage caused by the river’s flooding.
• Legends and stories: Immerse yourself in the tales linking these two great symbols of the city, from their construction and their relationship with the Catholic Church to the city’s most deeply-rooted traditions.

Thanks to this combined ticket, you’ll have the chance to experience first-hand the grandeur, the legends and the architectural details that have made Avignon one of France’s most captivating cities.
