Step by Step

TreeTop Challenge Sunshine Coast transforms the rainforest surrounding The Big Pineapple into a huge aerial adventure course. After putting on your harness and completing the initial training, you’ll start with easier courses before deciding how far you want to take the challenge.

The six circuits are designed to increase in difficulty progressively. As you progress, you’ll have to cross moving bridges, nets, platforms and other suspended obstacles that test your balance, coordination and confidence.

One of the main attractions is its 12 zip lines, spread across the park’s different levels. Some are around 140 metres long and allow you to traverse large areas of forest from above, with the tropical landscape of the Sunshine Coast stretching out beneath your feet.

The most advanced courses reach a height of approximately 35 metres above the ground, so the experience changes significantly as you progress through the levels. You can tailor the adventure to your abilities and stick to the more accessible circuits or try to tackle the most extreme sections.

The park is situated next to the iconic Big Pineapple, one of the Sunshine Coast’s most recognisable landmarks. After your adventure, you can take the opportunity to visit this enormous structure and continue exploring the Woombye area.

We arrived at the last circuit feeling a bit tired and decided not to push ourselves. The rest of the day was fantastic.

I found some parts to be more technical than physical, and that adds variety.
