With the Park Hopper mode, when you arrive each day you can choose where to start (Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure) and, after a certain time, change parks if you wish, to enjoy different attractions, shows, restaurants and environments without being limited to a single park. This gives you the flexibility to plan according to schedules, crowds or your entertainment preferences.

The Lightning Lane option allows you to purchase an extra pass that gives you access to special ("fast") lanes at selected attractions. It works through the official Disneyland app: once you enter the park, you can reserve times for those available attractions, use the fast lane when it's your turn, and then continue to make additional reservations throughout the day based on rules such as minimum wait between reservations or prior use of another Lightning Lane. This is especially useful on busy days, as it allows you to maximise the number of attractions you can enjoy without spending too much time in line.
