Immerse yourself in a journey amongst sharks, rays, jellyfish, eels and hundreds of marine species with these tickets to Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies in Gatlinburg. The aquarium is home to thousands of animals from over 350 species, with areas designed to let you observe them up close and learn more about their behaviour.
During your visit, you can explore the exhibitions on the upper and lower levels, visit the Discovery Centre Touch Tank, see stingrays in Sting Ray Bay and meet the penguins at the Penguin Playhouse. Live shows are also held every day; you can check the timetable on arrival.
The visit lasts approximately 2 hours, although you can adjust the pace to suit your interests. The venue is wheelchair accessible and accommodates standard pushchairs.

Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies turns your visit into a journey through different marine ecosystems without leaving Gatlinburg. As you make your way through the exhibition halls, you’ll move from small reef animals to large predators, with activities designed for both observation and interaction.
One of the main attractions is the chance to get up close to species such as sharks, rays, sea turtles, jellyfish and eels. The various exhibits allow you to view them from different angles and gain a better understanding of how they live in their respective habitats.
At the Discovery Centre’s Touch Tank, you can enjoy a more interactive experience, whilst Sting Ray Bay is dedicated to stingrays. The Penguin Playhouse, meanwhile, is one of the most popular areas of the tour and allows you to observe penguin behaviour up close.
The aquarium also organises daily live presentations and shows, so it’s worth checking the programme when you arrive to plan your visit around the activities that interest you most.
Your ticket grants access to both the upper and lower levels of the venue, so you can explore the entire aquarium and discover its different environments at your own pace.
