Had a lovely time at the Shard. We first had a champagne afternoon tea at ‘Ting’ on the 35th floor, then went to the top of the Shard. The view was amazing, especially seeing the Tower of London from above. Lucy, the guide on the lift at the first change over was so super happy, welcoming and obviously loves her job and is a real credit to the Shard. Lovely day out.

Worth every penny ! We had researched a bit before we visited about the building and how it was built, and glad we did as it then enabled us to fully appreciate the structure . We were allowed in slightly before our time slot and was soon whisked up to the viewing floors. Thank you Michael for the additional tips you gave on our journey up . ( don’t miss the toilets was the best ! ) as mentioned in other reviews you are likely to be one of many taking in the views, so be patient . Most groups move their way round fairly quickly so we never waited long to get by the window at each section. The top floor with the exposed roof is when it really hits you just how high above the city you are. So good we all agreed we would do it again, especially as we had used the train 2 for 1 offer so it was half price .

Wow what a place. What a view! The lifts whisk you very quickly up to 68th floor. The views are simply stunning. Visit just before sunset which we did. Wow. The bar is mega expensive up there and they just put a service charge onto the price the £14 for 2 ciders was £15.70 but if paying by card select no & it takes the service charge off. Waking up a few flights of stairs to an external viewing platform. Lack of seats up here for the amount of people wondering around with drinks looking for someone to sit and enjoy yes view
