Step by Step

Embark on a unique adventure with this speedboat tour of the Stockholm archipelago, a tour full of energy, history and natural beauty. For 2 hours, you'll cruise the canals and coastline as the locals do, discovering one of the country's most beloved and authentic areas.

The experience starts at Strandvägen, Kajplats 19, in the heart of Stockholm. From there, you'll sail past some of the city's main attractions - the old town of Gamla Stan, the Vasa Museum and Gröna Lund Park - before setting course for the outer archipelago.

As you leave the city behind, the boat reaches speeds of up to 42 knots (78 km/h) and the landscape changes dramatically, with hundreds of green and rocky islands stretching as far as the eye can see. Along the way, your guide will tell you stories about the summer houses that have been passed down from generation to generation and the local sailors who have populated these waters for centuries.

The itinerary will take you to Vaxholm, known as the 'capital of the archipelago', where sailors stop before heading out into the Baltic Sea. You'll see inhabited and uninhabited islands, historic fortresses and unspoilt landscapes that sum up the essence of the Scandinavian summer.

This is the perfect tour for those seeking adventure in safety and comfort, as it includes thermal overalls, goggles, hats and life jackets so you can enjoy yourself without worrying about the cold and wind. With small groups of up to 12 people, you'll have time to ask questions, observe and have a personalised experience.

I am not a fan of this kind of activities as I am a bit afraid of them, so I am not going to say that it was an extraordinary experience like the rest of my group. I still recommend it to everyone, the walk is quite pleasant and the views are wonderful.
