This excursion to Montserrat from Barcelona takes you in comfort to one of Catalonia’s main cultural and spiritual landmarks. In around 5 hours, you’ll be able to discover its unique landscape of rock formations, the famous monastery and the Basilica of Montserrat, set in a truly stunning natural environment.
If you choose the transport-only option, you’ll have free time to explore Montserrat at your own pace, enjoy the views, stroll around the surrounding area and organise your visit according to your preferences, without having to worry about travelling from Barcelona.
With the full experience option, you’ll begin your ascent of the mountain with a ride on the rack railway, taking in the panoramic views as you climb. Once at Montserrat, you’ll take a guided tour of the monastery and the Basilica, whilst discovering their history, architecture and spiritual significance.
The full experience also includes access to the Throne of the Virgin, where La Moreneta is housed, entry to the Montserrat Audiovisual Centre, and a tasting of traditional liqueurs made by the monks. A truly comprehensive way to discover the history, heritage and traditions of this unique place.
