- Set the duration: half an orientation walk or a full day of immersion

Step by Step
The experience begins with a brief chat where you define your priorities: you might want to track down street-art murals, visit the Sandaga market to learn how to bargain, or stop at the cathedral and the Grand Mosque to discover the country's religious coexistence. As the tour is entirely on foot, every alley and facade becomes a living lesson in architecture, gastronomy and local customs.
The guide adapts the pace to your energy: if you choose a half-day route, you can focus on the Plateau, with stops in front of the Presidential Palace, Independence Square and the art-déco cafés reminiscent of colonial Dakar. On the full-day version there is time to cross the Corniche, chat with artisans in the Village des Arts, sample a thieboudienne in a popular eatery or watch the sun set over the Atlantic from Yoff beach.
At all times, the guide will help you manage entrance fees as you go (museums, galleries or heritage houses) and translate into Wolof so that your interaction with the vendors is authentic and respectful. The tour ends wherever you prefer: perhaps at a recommended restaurant for yassa poulet dinner or back at your hotel to rest after your cultural immersion.
