Step by Step

The tour begins next to the famous Hachiko statue, in the heart of Shibuya. From there, you’ll head to the famous Shibuya Crossing, one of Tokyo’s most recognisable landmarks and the best introduction to the fast-paced rhythm of the Japanese capital.

You’ll then visit the Meiji Shrine, a haven of tranquillity surrounded by a lush forest. The itinerary continues to the Imperial Palace, the main residence of the Japanese Imperial Family, where you’ll have time to admire the exterior and take photographs.

The next stop will be Akihabara, the well-known district for electronics, anime and video games. Next, you’ll explore Asakusa, home to Senso-ji Temple and a bustling shopping area brimming with souvenirs, crafts and traditional specialities. Those who have booked lunch will enjoy a local meal, whilst the rest will have free time to eat on their own.

The standard tour ends in Asakusa. If you’ve chosen an option that includes admission, you’ll continue on to Tokyo Skytree, one of the city’s tallest and most recognisable structures. From its observation deck, you’ll be able to take in a breathtaking panoramic view of Tokyo and round off a day full of contrasts.

Good service, good guide, good atmosphere. The only thing: bring a mobile phone adapter if you need it.

The train took us without traffic, which is much appreciated in such a big city.
