From the Cliffs of Moher the tour continues onto Galway City. The route taken follows the Wild Atlantic Way which is the coastal route from County Clare into County Galway.
In the event of road closure on the coastal road we will take the Cork Screw route from the Cliffs towards Galway. On this route, you will see The Burren's Unique Landscape (photo stop included IF WEATHER PERMITS) and views along The Wild Atlantic Way.
The Burren is renowned for its remarkable assemblage of plants and animals, over 70% of Ireland's species of flowers are found there. The region supports Arctic–alpine and Mediterranean Basin plants side-by-side, due to the unusual environment.
Tour of Galway Bay
Arriving in the centre of Galway City at approximately 2.30 PM, we park right in the middle of the city close to Eyre Square. Your tour guide offers all passengers a complimentary walking tour of the Galway which typically takes around 20 minutes. Visiting places such as the Spanish Arch and Lynch's Castle, the walking tour is a popular addition to the itinerary, particularly as the centre of Galway is pedestrianised. The walking tour is optional, many passengers prefer to spend their time in Galway at their own discretion. The place has a wonderful musical and vibrant reputation. Lots of craft shops, small family stores and numerous little artisan cafes. Why not enjoy local fish and chips fresh from the Atlantic at a local food venue. Your guide is there to direct and help. Overnighting in Galway is possible. Depending upon availability- a free return seat to Dublin can be requested for another day. Rest stops included on route to the Cliffs and back to Dublin- no bathrooms on board.
Your coach will return to Dublin City at approximately 7.40 PM (depending on traffic and departure time in Galway - after guaranteed 2 hour stop there).
Drop off is on D'Olier Street, 100 metres from O'Connell Bridge and near Trinity College and Temple Bar.
