Nea Kameni Hot Springs and Santorini Volcano Day Trip

The guided boat tour begins at the port of Fira, at the foot of Santorini’s white cliffs. Upon arriving at the meeting point, you will board the boat to cross the caldera whilst the guide explains the formation of the rich volcanic landscape and its last major eruption.

Upon reaching the island of Palia Kameni, you’ll set off on foot to the summit of the Santorini volcano. Along the way, the guide will explain the geology, the layers of lava and the history of the tsunamis that shaped the region. From the crater, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea and the caldera.

Back on the boat, you’ll head to Nea Kameni, where you can take a dip in its thermal waters, whose temperatures and mineral composition offer a unique therapeutic experience. It’s the perfect moment to relax and admire the volcanic seabed whilst floating in a natural pool.

After your dip, the boat will return to the old harbour of Fira, where the experience will come to an end. From there, you can take the cable car (€6 each way) or walk down the 600 steps to the old town of Fira at your own pace.
