Step by Step
Departing from Karlplatz 21 /Stachus at 08:30AM. Your first stop will be the stunning Linderhof Castle, arriving around 10:00AM. The smallest of King Ludwig II's three royal castles, Linderhof was originally built as a hunting lodge in the 19th century. Designed in the elegant French Rococo style, the castle features a Moorish pavilion, which you can explore during your one-hour stay.
You’ll also have the option to join a guided tour of the castle’s exquisite interior, where you’ll experience the luxurious chambers and intricate design of the palace. The guided tour lasts about 25 minutes.
After the tour, take time to enjoy the impressive castle gardens. Stroll through the beautiful grounds and capture stunning photos of the castle and its surroundings.
A picturesque bus ride through the small, alpine village Oberammergau unfolds like a dream. The ride feels like a journey through a living postcard, peaceful and serene at every glance.
Enjoy this wonderful viewpoint within walking distance of the castle. Please always keep an eye on the admission time to the castle (visit optional, schedule may change)
Approx. 1:15PM: Arrival at the Neuschwanstein Castle area. Begin your discovery of Ludwig II's childhood home, Hohenschwangau Castle.
Entrance tickets will be provided by the guide.
Total stay in the area: approximately 3 – 3.5 hours.

During your time here, you'll have free time for lunch, shopping, or taking pictures. You can also take 35 minutes to reach Neuschwanstein Castle either on foot or by shuttle bus (please note, the shuttle bus is not operational in snowy conditions). Be sure to visit Marienbrücke (Mary's Bridge) for sweeping views of the castle and the surrounding landscape.
Around 3:45PM: A guided tour of Neuschwanstein Castle will take approximately 45 minutes.
5:00PM: Departure from Neuschwanstein Castle, with an approximate 2-hour ride back to Munich.
