Step by Step
Take a look back and get to know the Dachau concentration camp with this half-day excursion from Munich. The experience lasts about 5 hours in total. Munich and Dachau are 25 km apart, which won't be a problem, as return transfers by train or bus from the city are included. Your guide, whom you will meet in the centre of Munich, will accompany you to the station so you don't have to worry about anything.
Throughout this tour you will look back and learn all about what happened here from the local tour guide who will accompany you. You will be able to ask him as many questions as you want during the tour.
Due to the atrocities committed by the Nazi regime, children under the age of 14 are not allowed to enter. You will visit the cells, gas chambers and barracks where the prisoners lived. You will learn all about what happened from the time it was formed until its liberation by American forces in 1945.
This tour also includes access to two activities inside the concentration camp. One of them will be a 22-minute documentary that includes prisoners' own experiences and real-life footage. On the other hand, you will also visit the museum inside the concentration camp.
