Step by Step

Priority access tickets allow you to visit the Sky View Observatory in Seattle without queuing. This is a viewing point situated on the 73rd floor of the Columbia Centre skyscraper. From the top, the view is spectacular and takes in both the city and the surrounding countryside. The attraction features the Sky View Café & Bar, which serves sandwiches, salads, coffee, beer, wine and cocktails.

As well as a 360° view, digital and analogue information panels explain the key features of the attractions on view:

  • Elliott Bay – The city’s bay and the terminus of Puget Sound, it is surrounded by a waterfront promenade that was refurbished in 2017.
  • Great Wheel – A Ferris wheel featuring 500,000 LED lights.
  • Olympic Mountains – A mountain range in western Washington; not particularly high but of great beauty.
  • Space Needle – A futuristic viewing point and a true symbol of the city. It was built for the 1962 World’s Fair.
  • Mount Rainier – An active volcano rising to over 4,000 metres, making it the highest peak in the state of Washington.
  • Pike Place Market – The oldest market in the United States. It is famous for its local produce, its bohemian atmosphere and a fishmonger’s where fish are literally thrown across the counter.
  • Mount Baker – Another active volcano, covered in glaciers. It is home to a famous ski resort.

Visibility is usually good even in bad weather. If this is not the case, it will be indicated at the entrance. In any event, the view of the skyscrapers shrouded in mist is a breathtaking sight. If you’d like to take home a souvenir, the gift shop is located in the atrium.

Beautiful views, especially at sunset. We stayed for drinks and had a great time. Just be aware that they don't accept cash.

The first time I shopped there it was a total blast and although I wanted to go back, I never would! I gave this ticket a try and it was a piece of cake, it didn't even take 10 minutes!

It was a great facility to have the ticket in advance and to have a fast pass. We were very well dressed and my girlfriend waiting in heels was a no no!

Sky View Observatory in addition to the beautiful views also has a bar to have a drink, so if you have the opportunity to stay, I recommend it.
