Step by Step

This Boston pub crawl offers a different way to discover the city’s history: by sitting in some of its taverns and listening to the stories behind the American Revolution. The tour begins next to Faneuil Hall, one of the most iconic sites in the historic centre, and continues through several pubs located just a short walk from the Freedom Trail.

Throughout the experience, you’ll visit four historic bars and taverns, whilst your local guide tells you about colonial-era customs, secret meetings, revolutionary figures and unusual episodes that helped shape Boston’s history. The specific venues may vary depending on the day, time and availability.

At each stop, you’ll have time to order something at your own expense. Drinks aren’t included, so you’re free to choose from local beers, cider, cocktails or non-alcoholic options. You don’t have to buy a drink to take part in the tour, so you can enjoy the stories and the atmosphere whatever you decide to drink.

The tour lasts approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes and involves walking just a few blocks, so much of the experience takes place in the comfort of the pubs. A perfect blend of history, local atmosphere and good humour to discover Boston from a much less conventional perspective.
