The Melaka River cruise invites you to discover one of Malaysia’s most historic cities from the water. Over the course of approximately 45 minutes, you’ll travel along the river that for centuries played a key role in the commercial and cultural development of Malacca.

Throughout the cruise, you’ll be able to admire sites linked to different periods in the city’s history, such as the Stadthuys, the distinctive red buildings, Middleburg Bastion, St Francis Xavier’s Church and buildings dating from before the Second World War.

The tour also showcases a more contemporary side of Malacca, passing by colourful murals, the Jonker Street area, Kampung Morten, the Kampung Hulu Mosque and other recognisable landmarks in the city. If you take the cruise in the evening, you’ll also be able to enjoy the illuminated riverbanks and the rhythmic water fountain, when it’s in operation.
