The tour begins in Sorrento, with time to stroll through its historic centre and visit some of its traditional shops. Here you’ll also enjoy a tasting of local limoncello, one of the flavours most closely associated with this part of southern Italy.

You’ll then continue on to Positano and, from there, make the journey to Amalfi by boat, taking in the coastline from the sea. Once in Amalfi, you’ll have around two hours free to explore its historic centre, visit the Duomo, head down to the beach or sample a local speciality.

Step by Step

The excursion begins with departure from Pompeii in a comfortable, air-conditioned minibus. Throughout the day, you’ll be accompanied by a local driver and a tour guide who will help you get around the various destinations, but you’ll be free to spend your time at each location as you wish.

The first stop is Sorrento, where you can explore its historic centre and discover one of the area’s most famous culinary traditions: limoncello. During the visit, you’ll have the chance to sample this traditional liqueur made from local lemons.

You’ll then continue on to Positano, one of the most recognisable villages on the coast thanks to its houses terraced along the hillside. You’ll have some free time to wander through its streets, head down to the beach or simply enjoy the views before continuing on your way.

The next leg of the journey is by sea, from Positano to Amalfi. This part of the excursion allows you to admire the coastline from a different perspective, with its cliffs, small coves and villages stretching out towards the Mediterranean.

In Amalfi, you’ll have around 2 hours of free time to explore the historic centre, visit the famous Duomo, have a swim at the beach or sit down to try a local speciality before heading back.
