Hamburg Guided Amphibious Bus Tour

This tour offers a very different way of discovering Hamburg. The first part of the tour takes place on land, passing through some of the city’s most characteristic neighbourhoods and harbour areas.

You’ll pass through Speicherstadt, the historic brick warehouse district, and HafenCity, where contemporary architecture and the transformation of the old harbour reveal a much more modern side to Hamburg.

Then comes the big change in the experience: the amphibious bus heads towards the water and drives straight into the Elbe, where the boat trip begins. Without getting off the vehicle, you’ll go from travelling on the road to travelling along the river.

During the water section, the tour continues towards Tiefstack and passes by one of Germany’s largest storm surge barriers. You’ll also sail through the Billwerder Bay area, historically linked to Hamburg’s industrial and maritime activity.

Throughout the entire journey, you’ll be provided with live commentary to help you better understand the city’s relationship with the harbour, the river and the neighbourhoods you pass through.
