Lyon Bike Tour

This cycle route – whether on a standard or electric bike – lasts around 2 hours and is designed for small groups. This route is suitable for a wide audience and includes a local guide who will accompany you as you explore some of the city’s main attractions:

• Vieux Lyon: the medieval city centre, situated between the banks of the Saône and Fourvière Hill. The narrow streets lead to a square where Saint-Jean Cathedral stands. Another landmark is the traboules, covered passageways linked to the silk industry
• Place Bellecour: the largest pedestrianised square in Europe. In the centre stands a statue dedicated to Louis XIV, flanked by two allegorical figures.
• Parc de la Tête d’Or: a large green space created in the early 19th century, inspired by Paris’s Bois de Boulogne. Today, the park features a large lake, beautiful rose gardens and a zoo housing endangered animal species
• Berges du Rhône: the riverside promenade along the banks of the Rhône. This area has been revitalised thanks to an urban regeneration project that has introduced cycle lanes, green spaces and children’s play areas
• Tube Modes Doux: a tunnel for bicycles and public transport connecting Lyon’s two rivers. It is situated in the Croix-Rousse district and features projected animations and background music

You can choose between two departures, in the morning or in the afternoon, which go ahead in most weather conditions. In the event of rain, the tour provides a raincoat to keep you dry.
