Paris Day Trips from London
Helpful advice from us and our travellers so you can enjoy your experience to the fullest.
What's the best way to reach Paris from London?
Aside from flying, the best and fastest way to get to Paris from London is via the Eurostar, a high-speed train between London and Paris. One of the most exciting aspects of its journey is that it actually travels in an underground tunnel (Channel Tunnel) underneath the English Channel, to reach France.
Can Paris really be "done" in a single day trip?
Considering the sheer size of Paris, it's impossible to see and enjoy everything that Paris has to offer in a single day. Instead day trips can be good for those who want to see a specific site such as the Eiffel Tower, and usually it's a case of seeing what else is around the same area as you want to see.
Is there anything specific I should know when travelling to Paris from London?
Time change, remember that Paris is one hour ahead of London, as you don't want to find you've returned to early, or worse too late. Likewise, talking of time, you don't want to leave central Paris during your visit as the time taken for travel, will eat up most of your time in France. Finally, like many big cities you'll want to be careful of pickpockets, as tourists are usually the easiest targets.
