Step by Step
Antelope Canyon is a natural wonder carved out of sandstone over thousands of years by the relentless force of water and wind. On this tour you will enter the Upper Antelope Canyon section, known for its high corridors and incredible shades of colour, which vary according to the position of the sun in the sky. Every corner of the canyon offers compositions of light and shadow that only a photographer or nature lover can fully appreciate.
Before descending into the canyon, your Navajo guide will greet you and explain the safety rules and the route. The hike lasts about an hour, moving through sandy terrain and entirely on foot.
The experience is not only visual: your Navajo guide will tell you legends, facts about the geological formation and local culture, enriching your walk with ancestral stories. Along the way, you can take photographs (video is not allowed), immortalising the spectacular rainbows of light against the reddish-hued walls.
At the end, you'll climb back up the stairs and return to the meeting point after one of Arizona's most memorable natural adventures.
