There's a lot to see here. If you live in NY State you choose the amount you want to pay for entry. They have small lockers for coats and backpacks - $7 for the day. The exhibits are plentiful and arranged well. However, some areas need a makeover to move into the 21st century, i.e. better graphics and more interactive exhibits. Also, many of the exhibits have labels and text graphics that are placed in positions that make them unreadable unless you have near perfect vision. We spent 3 hours here on a rainy day and still didn't see it all. It's a great place for all ages - the educational value if high.

Living world. Hip hop jewelry exhibit . Wonderful museum, beautiful exhibits very informative. would be helpful if visitors knew where food can be consumed instead of being spoken to quite rudely by SO Barbara H. Cafe personal was rude as well. They made a mistake and got quite an attitude towards me. I visited on 12/7/2024.

Always love coming to the natural history museum, if you want to do a specific exhibit you should book ahead as we wanted to do the butterflies and they were sold out for the day
