On this tour, we cover the area of Tromsø within the original borders of 1794. Already before the city was formally established, there has been centuries of human activity in this area. Astrid was are tour guide There were only two of us on this tour , myself and a guy from Germany ( apparently we were lucky it wasn’t cancelled because there were only 2 of us. ) Astrid walked us around the centre of Tromso, pointing different things out to us and explaining the history of Tromso ( which she is very knowledgeable about ) We also got to try some smoked whale meat which was very nice !) We ended up in the artic museum where astrid explained the history of artic exploration and the history of whale hunting I found the museum to be very interesting with lots of photo opportunities This tour is worth doing while in tromso
