After meeting at the Prostneset bus terminal take the bus for a 25-minute drive by the nice coast of Tromsø to arrive at the destination, the Sami camp, where the reindeer and the rest of our guides will be waiting for you.
Enjoy a 10-15 minute sleigh ride as the reindeer guide you around the valley and along the coast. Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to feed 300 of these magnificent animals before entering the gamme for a hot traditional meal cooked over the fire. Finish the day by gathering around the fire to listen to Sami history, stories and joiking (songs).
Drive back to the city centre. The bus will stop at the same place where you met our guides at the beginning of the tour.

Unfortunately there was no sledding due to there being no snow. BUT me and my partner still had an amazing time. Before we fed the reindeers the staff let me put on some wellies which was handy as it was quite muddy. When we got to the reindeers, they were super hungry, we were swarmed by them, you definitely have to be strong and stern with them as they all fight for the buckets of food. They were still really cute and I loved being able to meet all of the reindeers and gave them some head scratches haha After feeding the reindeers we went inside the lovely tent with candle lit tables and a camp fire. Everyone had a choice of reindeer soup or veggie soup, they also had chocolate chip cookies so I just munched on them which were very nice. After an hour or so, we had a lovely lady tell us all about the Sami culture which was very educational and interesting to learn about. I 100% recommend this experience, me and my partner had a great time ☺️

We learned a lot about Sami culture and their Reindeer, and loved all of it. If we didn't love our family so much we wouldn't have come home ever again! The guides are passionate about sharing their knowledge, which they present in a very entertaining way. Reindeer have great characters, it was fun to mingle with them too. Absolutely loved this experience.

It’s wonderful to hear their story, and understand their passion to keep their culture. Everything was well presented. The best part was the reindeer stew… no where else can one share this food culture
