Pick-up in Reykjavík and guided transfer to first sightseeing stop
Golden Circle is the most popular day tour route from Reykjavik. It traverses spectacular landscapes and includes three Iceland's iconic destinations: Geysir geothermal area, Gullfoss waterfall and Thingvellir national park.
Strokkur is the little brother or the famous Geysir which not active anymore. Strokkur though is still very active blowing water up into the air every 7 to 10 minutes.

We'll usually stop for lunch at Geysir for about 40 min

At this stop can you also purchase food.
Gullfoss is a waterfall of the White River Hvítá. It has two steps of 11 and 21 meters and there are pulling more 100 m3 water through it at a second.
The Thingvellir are both historically and geologically a important location. Here was the first icelandic parliament founded in the late 900s and this is also the a visible division between the eurasian and the north american continental plates.
Kerið is an iconic volcanic crater of 55 meters depth.

What a fantastic time I had on this day trip with my Brother. Perla the tour guide and Albert the driver were absolutely amazing. Albert got us round safely and Perla was an awesome personality who was so uplifting and so knowledgeable. Plenty of time was given at each of the stops and it was our highlight of the week.

The stops on this tour were all wonderful, with the geyser and the crater being my favorite to photograph. The tour guide, Emily, wasn't very personable or fun that day, probably because it was her last tour as she was very happily moving out of Iceland as she told us several times and she couldn't wait to leave. The sites were beautiful even though the day was windy and a little rainy.

We received an email the night before to advise that we had been upgraded from the large group tour to a premium small tour. We were picked up at our chosen bus stop by Omar, our driver and tour guide. Omar was great, very knowledgeable and had a good sense of humour. The weather was very foggy so we were unable to see the waterfall due to the density of the fog which was disappointing (well aware that the weather can’t be helped!). Omar took us to an additional spot which was good. Mini bus was ok, little uncomfortable and the sides were filled with water which swooshed every time we turned a corner! Overall though I would recommend this tour. On the last stop Omar took us inside to a bird's eye view model of the area we had travelled during the day and explained what we had seen and why the golden circle has its name, this part was a great end to the trip and really tied it all together. Thank you Omar!
