Step by Step

Take a comfortable bus tour along the almost 300 km between San Francisco and Yosemite for a day in the area's most spectacular wilderness. During the tour, an expert guide will brief you on the most important facts about each point along the way.

This complete tour will take you to the most representative places in the area:

  • Sierra Nevada, a mountain range between California's Central Valley and the Great Basin.
  • Yosemite Valley, a glacial valley about 12 km long and approximately 1 km deep, surrounded by high granite peaks and dense pine forests.
  • Half Dome and El Capitan, two of Yosemite Valley's most iconic natural landmarks
  • Bridalveil, Yosemite and Nevada Falls
  • Yosemite Valley Lodge, very close to Yosemite Falls, is the perfect base camp for exploring Yosemite National Park.

You will have the opportunity to see close-up such original and striking tree species as the well-known giant sequoias. But also other local species such as conifers, Abies concolor and Pinus Lambertiana. The walk through this grove may be restricted by weather conditions during the winter months.

You'll be looking forward to the approximately 1 km hike along the Lower Yosemite Fall Trail. At the end of the walk, spectacular views of the falls await you.

There will still be time to stop at the Valley Visitor Center, the largest and most comprehensive in terms of exhibits, books, postcards and maps. It also offers natural history exhibits and audio-visual programmes. It's the perfect place to pick up a souvenir of the tour.

This tour to Yosemite from San Francisco is designed for travellers of all ages, making it a great opportunity for a family day out.

Everything was very good, nothing to say. I was told that there were options for camping and everything in Yosemite, I consider that for one day is fine.
